Ric
Baird, Owner, MS, PT, ATC, Physical Therapist and Certified
Athletic Trainer
Ric is a Certified Athletic Trainer and Licensed Physical
Therapist. He grew up in Denton, Kansas and attended
undergraduate school at Washburn University and graduated
in 1991. He then attended Des Moines University and received
his Masters in Physical Therapy in 1994. He is currently
working towards his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree.
He was employed as a physical therapist in outpatient
settings for 8 years in the Topeka area until January
of 2003 when he opened Interactive Physical Therapy,
a private practice in North Topeka. In March of 2004
he expanded his practice to Interactive Physical Therapy
and Fitness Center which includes a 7200 square foot
public access fitness center and physical therapy clinic.
Ric has over 350 hours in continuing education concentrating
in the areas of musculoskelatal disorders, sports injuries,
muscular imbalances and prevention. He specializes in
treatment of orthopedic and athletic injuries. Ric participated
in sports at the high school level and continues to enjoy
working with athletes of all ages in the recovery of
their injuries and/or post operative conditions. Ric
enjoys the close relationship and trust that is developed
between the therapist and the patient. Ric’s true
love is his family who live near Silver Lake. His wife
of 16 years, Anne, is a Physicians Assistant
at Pediatric Care in Topeka. They have 3 boys (Blake,
Cole, and Keenan) and 1 girl (Ella) ranging in age from
6 to 13 years of age. They enjoy boating and water sports
in the summer, family time together, and attending
multiple sporting events in which the kids are involved. |

Bob Clifton, Physical Therapist
Bob joined Interactive Physical Therapy
and Fitness Center in June of 2003 shortly after it opened.
Bob is a 1988 graduate of Rockhurst University in Kansas
City, MO. He began his career in Emporia, KS and worked
primarily in outpatient orthopedics for nearly 10 years.
Bob was then employed for over 4 years in the Topeka area
in a clinic specializing in general musculoskeletal dysfunctions
and orthopedics. Bob has completed over 400 continuing
education hours in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries
and dysfunctions with an emphasis in postural problems,
muscular imbalances, and preventative health. Bob enjoys
the one on one contact and the development of close relationships
that physical therapy intervention brings with it. Family
is very important to Bob, he has been married to Andrea
for over 20 years and they have a daughter, Avery, who
is in the 11th grade. They enjoy church activities, exercising
together, and playing tennis. Bob brings a wealth of experience,
knowledge, and unmatched compassion to his patients in
the physical therapy clinic.

Kim Hoobler, DPT
Kim grew up in the Topeka area and graduated from Shawnee
Heights High School. She and her family are happy to have
recently moved back to northeast Kansas! Kim graduated
from Creighton University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy
program in 1996, and has worked in many different practice
settings over the past 12 years. Her education has
primarily been in manual therapy and orthopedics, as well
as women’s health and incontinence issues. Kim has also
started training to become a Polestar Pilates for
Rehabilitation practitioner. Helping people recover their
physical health and positively influencing client’s lives
is what makes Kim truly enjoy being a physical therapist.
Kim and her husband Marc live near Tecumseh with their 3
active sons. They enjoy cycling, water sports, snow
skiing, and traveling to visit family and friends.

Bekah
Berkley, CPTA
Bekah
has attended Washburn University from 2004-2008. She
received an Associates Degree as a physical therapist
assistant in 2007. She will graduate in December 2008 with
a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. Bekah started
with Interactive Physical Therapy in July of 2007. She
also works for St. Francis Health Center Rehabilitation
Unit. Bekah was born and raised in Lawrence and enjoys
following the Jay hawks.
